STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW

via here
Over at Free People, they are accepting submissions for songs to go with their blog videos. They're "especially looking for music that’s fun, happy, and upbeat – and anything with a banjo or ukulele is a major plus!" This made me think of  a little song that I wrote not too long ago called Still Love Me Tomorrow.

you say you'll love me
as long as the stars shine above
you say you'll love me
as long as the birds sing at dawn
you say you'll love me
as long as the night turns to morn
how will I know you'll still love me tomorrow?

if the stars still shine
if the birds still sing
that's how I'll know you'll still love me tomorrow

stars shine above
birds sing at dawn
that's how I'll know you'll still love me tomorrow

It would be fun to finally record this with ukulele and submit it... should I go for it?

NEVER TOO OLD

I came across this quote today, and it really spoke to me. It wasn't too long ago when people were telling me that I was too young. Now, I'm starting to hear that I'm too old! I guess it's best to ignore what people say and keep learning, growing and dreaming!

YOU GOT A HOLD ON ME

via here
Here are lyrics to a new song I wrote called You Got a Hold on Me:

your love is a disease
filling me with heartache
making me feel weak
you got a hold on me

gotta get away
gotta get away now
gotta get away from you
you got a hold on me

why are you so bad
so bad at loving
you've taken all I have
you got a hold on me

gotta get away
gotta get away now
gotta get away from you
you got a hold on me

well, I've made up my mind
tonight I'm gonna leave you
so don't you even try
to get a hold of me

you gotta let me go - oh
you gotta let me go - oh
you gotta let me go - oh
you gotta release me

gotta get away
gotta get away now
gotta get away from you
you got a hold on me
